Dave's Diet

The Paleo diet is a medium fat (40%), medium protein (40%), low carbohydrate/low sugar (less than 20%), life style changing ketogenic diet with proven results in weight loss, lowering inflammation as well as lowering blood sugar and insulin resistance in type 2 diabetics.

>
It is also recommended for people suffering from Alzheimer's, Auto immune disorders, Metabolic disorders, Parkinson's, Epilepsy, Tinnitus and most cancers.
>
I have personally lost weight, and I don't get upset stomach so I can fast 16 to 18 hours day (this increase stem cell activity and other good metabolic processes) and I stopped bleeding internally when I made this change in life style.
>
This is just a basic outline of diet here will have larger more detailed PDF book at later date.
>
What to eat: Protein > Beef, Pork, Chicken, Turkey, Fish, Eggs, Nuts and Seeds.
The higher the fat content the better.
Fish at least once preferably twice a week.
>
Mostly low carb, low sugar, non starchy vegetables and leafy green vegetables:
>
Raw or steamed: Cauliflower, Cabbage, Water/Garden cress, Bok choy, Broccoli, Brussel sprouts, Collard greens, Kale, Lettuce, Asparagus, Avocados, Celery, Leeks, Onions, Garlic, Horse radish, Arugula, Swiss chard, Spinach, Mustard greens, Peppers, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Radishes, Artichokes, Rapini, Turnip greens, Endive, Dandelion tops, and it's ok to steam or fry all Mushrooms.
>
Unsweetened Fermented foods like: Pickles, Beets and Sauerkraut.
These are very important to change your gut Ph and promote growth of beneficial bacteria types, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar also help this effect and has enzymes to aid in digestion.
>
If you wanted to realy lower your blood sugar fast eliminating Beets, Nuts and Seeds as well all the veggies and fruit listed below this would be a very strict Keto diet. As I wasnt insulin resistant (type 2) or having immune problems or battling cancer and the foods below have many usefull nutrients I went a bit higher on carbs/sugars. Hence the distinction of  "Paleo" rather than "Keto".
>
Limited amounts of Potatoes, Carrots, Beets, Egg plants, Rhubarb and Tomatoes plus one portion of fruit per day like Blue/Black/Elder berries, Cherries, Grapes, Bitter melon and a small piece of 80% coca Dark Chocolate
>
Best cooking / Salad dressing oils: Olive, Hemp, Lard/Beef/Pork tallow, Coconut, Butter from animal milk.
>
Ok oils like Safflower (for deep frying), Peanut or Walnut in small amounts. These are higher in omega 6 which can cause inflammation if too much is in your diet. I do eat small amounts of peanut butter and sun flower seeds ( very high in Vit B15 a hard Vit to get in a supplement
>
I add cayenne pepper and mustard powder to my salad dressing.
>
Drink: Mineral water, Coffee, Teas, Stevia flavored vitamin water, Freshly squeezed Lemon/Lime juice added to water.
>
Avoid: Soda pop, Slushies, Energy drinks, Alcohol, Wine, Beer, Brewers yeast and Sea foods other than fish.
These last 3 are very high in purines and you should get your uric acid/gout levels checked while you are losing weight.
>
Avoid: Anything in a can/box,  Beans, Rice, Breads / Cereals, Canola oil, Corn oil, Soy oil, Grape seed oil, all added sugars, food additives, preservatives and food coloring.
>
It's a good idea to add a fish oil supplement (2 x 1000mg)  for brain health and an all natural vitamin (2 x 1000mg Vit C) + (2 x multi B100 complex) and mineral supplements (2 x Magnesium mineral complex 12 minerals + Vit D) as most of our food is grown in mineral poor soils with mineral free fertilizers.

I also take 2 garlic oil capsules, 800 iu of Vit E per day, extra B12 (1 x 1200 mcg) and biotin (2 x 1000 mcg)  Biotin really helped my hair on the top of my head grow much more black than gray.
